1/12(日)は菜の花マラソン-NANOHANA MARATHON
最近より一層寒さが増してきましたが皆さんお元気でしょうか？
It gets colder and colder everyday. We hope that you are doing fine.
鹿児島の冬の風物詩の一つ、菜の花マラソンまであと約１カ月となりました。
“NANOHANA Marathon” is one of the winter characteristics of Kagoshima, and it’s almost a month away.
今年で第３９回目を迎えるこの大会は、鹿児島の南部に位置する指宿市で開催されます。
This year will be the 39th marathon. Ibusuki city, located in southern part of Kagoshima Prefecture takes its place.
菜の花といえば、春のイメージが強いと思いますが、ここ南国鹿児島では12月頃から楽しめます。
Nanohana means canola flower in Japanese, and it usually blooms in spring. Here, in Ibusuki City, you can enjoy it from December.
マラソンコースにもなっている九州最大のカルデラ湖である池田湖周辺は、 美しい薩摩富士こと開聞岳を背景に黄色の絨毯が広がり、とても綺麗です。
The beautiful view of yellow carpet with background of “Satsuma Fuji (Mt. Kaimon)”, which is around the Lake Ikeda (the biggest caldera lake in Kyushu) takes your breath away.
大会の申し込みは終了していますが、参加者の応援がてら菜の花を楽しみに行くのも良いですね＾＾
The entry is already closed, but you can still go there and enjoy the view as you cheer up the participants.

ベストな行き方-How to get there?
会場は駅から離れたところにありますので、交通手段としては車が一番良いでしょう。
The venue is far away from the JR Train Station, so the best way to get there is by car.
駐車場はあるの？- Parking Space?
大会運営局へ問い合わせたところ、駐車場スペースは十分にあるようです。
誘導員の誘導のもと駐車するので、早めの到着をおすすめされました。
I asked the event organizer about the parking, and they said that there should be enough parking space. There will be flaggers guiding your parking space, so I was advised to get there early.
